New Guy Again..another dumb question :)

Figured I wouldnt start a new thread hoping I could ask an ignorant “new-guy” question too... When you tip a jig with a minnow head, what purpose does the minnow head serve? Is it for scent?

Scent as well as a target for the fish to key on. That of course is the bussiness end of the jig/spoon.

i like to go to thorne bros as much as i can, but if need somethin they dont have at the time(which i know they will order stuff), then its fleetfarm or gander. sometimes i do just go straight to fleet farm, i love that place!especially the blaine one!! i stay away from Capras, i think they can be stuck up over there. my buddies have experienced the same kind of thing there too. more so with the hunting department than fishing. but its kinda a small business, so its hard to hate them.

If it is something I need right away I will get it at cabelas or gander

But if I want it but dont need it I will wait till I go to duluth and get it at marine general (love the customer service and the people)
