Cranberry Festival in Warrens, WI - fishing options?

Wife is interested in Cranberry Festival in Warrens last weekend of September. Radius of ~30 miles where would you stay for fishing. I love trout fishing but open to all types. Keep in mind I will be wade fishing.

What area would you stay? Sparta? Black River Falls? I hear Warrens bog areas also has excellent panfish ponds too?

I would echo this question. We are staying at 3 Bears later this winter and would like to do some ice fishing. Any good suggestions for walleye, pike, or panfish? I'm not from the area. Thanks in advance!
