Question
MuleShack
I've got a suburban furnace in my shack and it has a spring type thermostat from suburban on the wall. The problem is that on the lowest setting the temp is still at or around 60 degrees. I'm trying to keep the shack warm when it is not in use but want it to stay around 40-45 instead.
Does anyone know of a DC thermostat that doesn't need internal batteries that can accomodate this?
can you use an 24v AC thermostat in the house with a 12v DC current?
The spring type thermostats dont change when you tilt them like the mercury ones do...you can rotate the older mercury ones and manipulate the start and stop temps.
Do they make the mercury ones yet and if so would they be safe in a wheel houe that bounces around on the lakes and roads?
Digital would be nice, but I dont want to have to worry about replacing batteries in the thermostat.
