I'm afraid we will be all too familiar with these guys within a decade or so...

I did see a kick-butt show yesterday, however, with folks shooting them "on the fly" with a bow and arrow (Gettin' Close, Outdoor Channel, follow the link and scroll to the last video clip: http://outdoorchannel.com/Shows/GettinClose.aspx)

I believe it was in Illinois somewhere. That's making lemonade out of lemons, I guess... Looked fun!

Just to clarify, if I want to bow-fish for these invasive carp, then I will got to Illinois and shoot them, but I DO NOT want them here! Easy to let happen, impossible to control after it does. To me, hunting wild hogs would be fun, too, but as mrklean said, ask Texans how they like their hog population. I have a friend from Texas, and his viewpoint (and the one commonly shared) is that hogs are to Texas what rats are to NYC. They are vermin, and "overpopulated" is an understatement.
