Help! Carb Leaking gas.

Hi Everyone. I have a 1992 Yamaha Moto 4 350 and on my last trip to the lake I noticed that gas was leaking from the bottom of the carb. I don't know if it leaks while running. It leaks with the engine off and the valve on. I shut the gas off as soon as I noticed the leak. If I turn the gas on it will start to leak from the bottom ,what looks to be a barbed hose fitting, but I can't see a loose hose that might have fallen off. I need to get this fixed so I can go fishing. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Maybe the float is stuck or cracked causing the carb to overfill. You could probably pull the bowl off to check it out, but it might be easier to take the carb off to work on it.

I have the same problem with my 2000 Yamaha Big Bear 400. I just shut the gas petcock off when it's not running.

Float is stuck. Bang on the carb and it make stop. You need to get in there and clean it. You oil is probably full of gas also, so make sure you change the oil once it is fixed.

I tried tapping on the side of the carb with no results. Look like I will have to make time this week to pull the carb off and change the oil. Thanks for the help.
