what do i do i have a 10" auger and a 10" frabill tip up my tip up basicaly sits on the water should i get new tip ups or what?

Are you talking about the insulated ones? If you are I would throw those in the garbage, they are the worst tipup i have ever used. They fall down the hole like you said and the flag is way too short you can barely tell its up sometimes. The shaft the line spool is too short too so if the water level is down even a little bit the spool wont be in the water and if its cold enough you will be dealing with line freezing on the spool all day .I would buy some new ones if I were you even the wood ones that dont cover the hole are better but I like the bigger round plastic ones. They are still almost small enough to fit in a 10 inch hole but dont quite make it.

yup, i had three of those tipups and i gave them away, now i just use the standard wood tipup but i made these foam hole covers to put them on so the hole is insulated, they work great.
