Ice House Light location

I have a Fish Trap X4 and have bought 2 4' LED rope lights from GM and am wondering where to place them. Option 1 is zip tied over the door or zip tied overhead.

I have a Frabill Magnum and had a 4' LED rope light from GM tied over the door. I replaced them with the HK 4' LED rope light and went directly overhead. It made a world of difference. I would recommend getting rid of the GM brand lights and finding some that are much brighter.

I tried just one light so far overhead and it is about as strong as a small candle, is this normal for the rope lights from GM what type of light is best for a flip up

What kind of battery are you guys using for your lights and how long can you get out of it?

i am trying a lawn mower battery have never ran these type of lights before but they are very weak

I would try the Best HK lights or the lights that are sold on this site from the Outdoor Pro Store. Nothing worse than trying to tie a jig on and you don't have enough light.

I just use a spare battery I have for my Vexilar. You can do a search on here for LED lights. There are a ton of threads on the subject. Yes, the lights from GM are fairly dim.
