Strikemaster electric auger power switch stuck in the "on" position

thatoneguy

Question

I flipped the switch on, drilled about a dozen holes, and when I tried to flip the switch off, it was stuck. I mean it was STUCK. won't budge, and I don't want to force it. Any ideas why or how I can fix it, or if I need to take it to Big Lake when I go on Thursday?

Can you pop the switch off somehow? Im not sure what they look like if its a metal switch like the gas augers or if its plastic. It might just be seized and you can squirt some WD40 on it. Otherwise I would just call strikemaster if your not comfortable taking it apart and they will hopefully have a quick fix for you.

Call and ask them when they're open. I have one but I wouldn't squirt anything in there without knowing what's going on. Pop the top and disconnect the battery so you don't drill a hole in the back of your car/truck by accident.
