Marcum LX-5 Help

My Marcum LX-5 is really loud. At first I thought it was just how it ran, but then I fished next to another one yesterday and that one was completely quiet. I read somewhere else there is a cleaning procedure to fix the problem. Is that it? How do you do it? Any suggestions?

brushes need to be cleaned. That other thread has steps to do it, I think, but I have never done it myself. Good luck.

Vexilar has instructions posted on how to clean the brushes, but I don't think that'll do much to quiet it down. I'd send an e-mail in to Marcum and see what they recommend.
