So im going to build one this summer

Im planning on doing my own build this summer.

Problem 1: I want it to sleep 4 and also have everything I need for summer camping. I plan on wiring for 110 and 12v with a plug on the outside to plug it in when camping or for charging with a generator.

Problem 2: I also want to incorperate a small sink somehow with working water, for the summer of coarse. I would look at putting in a small catch basin under the sink area, maybe 20 gallons so the wife can cleanup the dishes if needed. I know Im a very considerate husband.

Problem 3: Is a rubber roof going to cook us during the summer?

What else am I forgetting about? Ive been scouring the other posts from guys doing their own builds. Its been very helpful for me to decide what I want to incoorperate into the shack.

Is there anyplace where I can see different floor plans to get an idea for mine?

Thanks for the help guys, this is going to be a fun process!

Most campers now adays have rubber roofs. In fact I do not think you can get a camper without rubber roofing. I would suggest puting roof vents in (at least 2 depending on size) and some roof vent covers. the covers allow you to have the vents open when going down the road and also for ventaltion. here is a example link of where to get some vents and vents covers. espically if your going to use it in the summer. now if it was just going to be build for ice fishing forget what I just said.

roof vents, good windows, rubber roof for sure. try to park in the shade in the summer. i would use a big washtub a counter instead of an inset sink. sleeping 4 i would put a set of bunks on the wall and get few cots for the open floor
