otter wilderness or clam x2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i'm fishin out of a clam 6800 and i am looking to go to a flip over portable. i was looking for

some imput on which of these 2 is the more sturdy and comfortable. i have found both (discontinued models) avail locally. the x2 is $570 and the wilderness northern is $350. both good deals but the are both in the box so i cannot sit in the things to see what i like best. i am looking for the most comfort in the seating as they both have plenty of room. anyone know what size poles are on the otter , i already know the x2 has 1 1/4 inch. thanks for any info.

i have a x2 and its pretty slick. my buddy has a otter lodge and its nice also. there both good in my book. i went with the x2 because i got a deal on it at gander. i think the x2 is a lot lighter so if your moving a lot by dragging i would go with the x2. also the x2 is a lot brighter inside. the poles seem a lot stronger in the x2 too. the seats in the x2 i could sleep in them there so comfy and very durable, not sure about the wilderness but the lodges dont even come close. hope this helps a little.

Dont know alot about otter. But i believe they only have a bench for a seat and the X2 has nice chairs. So if you add the cost of seats at 70 a piece so 140 bucks for two it evens the price out a little. I have a thermal clam and like how it sets up been ot in strong winds and never put all the poles in just extend the frame poles and start fishing.
