JBMasterAngler
OK, so I'm coming up there for the first time ever in march, and I might as well be blind folded I'm not even gonna get into where to start on the bay...basically right now am just wondering where some good bait stores are, and what assortment of minnows and jigs should I have? I want to catch anything, but am aiming for splake, coho's, and whitefish if that helps? Thank you for any info
Jim Hudson
JB,Outdoor Allure is right between Ashland and Washburn, on HWY 13 and River Rock is on US HWY right smack in Ashland. Both would be your choice for shops in the area. Minnow wise, Lake Shiners - Goldens - and Fatheads work (the first two, the best).
JBMasterAngler
Thanks Are shiners easy to come by that time of year? Here in MN they are an endangered species by mid february due to the import/export laws.
gardn184
They're usually available in Wisconsin or at least I've never not been able to get them. I'll agree on the minnesota side its impossible to find them, was utterly confused last winter when looking for them in Duluth
