My Nils has a Wobble

I started out with an Ice Gator and a Nils 8' auger. I decided to replace the Gator with the Tanaka head, so I ordered the head and an adapter collar to attach the auger to the head. I can't remember for sure where I got the collar from - but it doesn't seem to fit tight on the auger, which produces some 'play' between the auger and collar and it wobbles when I rev it. Do you think I could have got the wrong collar? It threaded right on the power head shaft -so that seems OK. DO they make different collars for different sized augers? I doubt it matters, but for the sake of more info for diagnosis - my auger shaft is "D" shaped on the top and the collar is round. Thanks guys.

BTW - even with the wobble this thing is the cats pajamas!!!

There was a thread about this last year, and from what I recall there was a right and wrong way to install the powerhead on the shaft.

I know that there is a little play in mine and it is not rigid like my Jiffy was so I think you are good to go.

I asked this same question when I bought my Nils. Don't get me wrong, I love the auger, but why is there so much slop in the connection? It seems as though a guy should add in some shims to eliminate the wobble.

I received mine two weeks ago and no play. I don't even remember reading instructions when I put it together.
