guys normally I catch more big blues in the early spring, and then in November. I really like high water fishing if you know where to look you can really catch some hawgs. The rods I use are Duracat rods sold be the owner of our catfish tournament series. They are nice. I also use the Surge MH rods, I have caught some big cats on the Surge and really like them more for flatheads than any other rods. My favorite for flatheads is the Glowsticks but just seem to not catch any fish on those rods, I have three and have not caught a flathead to date on one. In the pic with the 69lb blue that far right rod with the blue wrap was the one I caught that particular fish on, to date I have caught 7 over 50 with that one rod(might have to retire it one of these days NOT)

Nice Blues! Are you fishing Barkley or Kentucky reservoirs? I'm planning a spring trip out east again but its not a bad drive down to that area. I've fished the Cumberland River near Clarksville, TN....there's some really serious water down your way!

spent alittle time working the railroad in both of those areas and never got to fish those waters but sure did dream of it when I was in that area. If all goes well this spring I mat pay you a visit for some blues action.
