Menardos has 4' lengths of DC LED lights on sale in the Christmas area for $1 a strand. They're designed to run off 2 C batteries. I've wired 4 stings together in series(3V X 4)to hook to the vex battery and am going to try them out next time in the portable. I don't want to try them out before I go out because I want to surprise my fishing buddies with this latest idea. I'm hoping to a least get even odds on them not catching on fire in under 1 min.
