Skidloader snowblowers

red ice

Question

Hoping this is the correct area to post this topic. If not, let me know and I will post elsewhere.

My Pa got himself a different skidloader the other day. I found him a nice used S185 Bobcat. He is tickled pink to have a cab with heat now. We were talking the other day of maybe selling the tractor and blower and just getting a blower for the skidster.

My questions are: Who out there has one? Pros and cons? What brand? Decent price?

I did talk to the dealer and he said the Bobcat blowers are a very good product for the money. Another advantage of them is all the connections just plug right in. Been searching online and I notice Lorenz makes them too. I know they have good products too.

Thanks in advance for any help!

The Lorenz will have "teeth" on the auger, which will allow the ability to break into frozen snow piles easier.

If he's just using the blower for his own drive, then there's no real reason to use that.

The big problem you'll have is if there's enough hydraulic fluid flow to properly power the blower.
