I don’t normally read the paper every day, but I happened to come across a nice article in the MPLS Strib the other day about the history of Strikemaster. Interesting read.

I never realized that the name Strikemaster originated from a bowling shoe company or something like that. Good Stuff

All brand loyalty and “auger wars” aside, it’s very nice to see a small local company succeeding in today’s economy, plus I can never put down a good ice fishing article.

Interesting paragraph:

Global warming hasn't caused any dip in ice auger sales, either. "It's still going to get cold. The last three winters have been the strongest we've had," Havel said. But a nationwide decline in the number of hunters and anglers is worrisome.
