Frabill Trekker 2 Assembly

Knickpoint

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I just bought a Frabill trekker 2 and had a question about assembly of the shack. When you are fixing the rubber to secure the tent to the back and side of the sled, are the screws supposed to go through both the front of the rubber and back of the rubber? (That is, Is it supposed to drill all the way through?)

Thanks,

Charlie

I just put one of these bad boys together last weekend with a buddy and for the rubber piece holding the fabric to the sled, we drilled through the rubber, tent fabric, plastic sled, back through the tent fabric and then through the backside of the rubber. We went far enough through the back rubber so it would pull back up instead up leaving a bump from the screw(its easy to feel when its pulled up). We didn't go along ways through so it was a bad sharp point but enough so it wouldn't break free. You could also just run it through then file off the ends of all the screws so you wont have to worry about things catching on it and getting ripped.

Hope this helped!
