DIY Tanning

anyone have suggestions for tanning solutions, tips, tricks? I would like to make a soft yote skin and perhaps make a half [PoorWordUsage] hat with it for pout fest!

There are tanning kits the DIY guys can use. Do a search for taxidermy supplies.

I would look up Van Dykes taxidermy supply. They should have kits for tanning. The pelt wont be a soft as a commercial tanned skin but it turns out fairly nice. I tanned a grey fox pelt back in a high school taxidermy class but i dont remember what the solution was called i believe it was ordered from van dykes.

I use a product by ritels (could be spelled rittels) but the furs come out as soft and workable as any commercial tannery as long as you do your part when it comes to fleshing and such.
