gman, thanks for asking.

The January Rod Building Class will be held 1/22-24, 2010 at Gander Mountain, Baxter, MN. Begins at 6 PM Friday evening, all day Saturday and about 3 hours on Sunday. Everything is furnished for you to build your choice of spinning, casting or fly rod. The completed rod will have a retail value of about $200. Free use of tools, disposables and 15-17 hours of hands-on small-class professional instruction. Included in the class fee of $250 is a one year membership to the Custom Rod Builders Guild.

We need for you to call us with what you wish to build as parts need to be ordered not later than 1/8/10. This class will fill quickly, so do not delay. Other classes can be scheduled depending on demand.

Rod building is an addictive hobby for which there is no know cure. A great pastime, plus you will build a much better rod than anything you can purchase off the shelf.

Give us a call today 218-562-4512 for more info and registration.

Sorry for the delay in responding, but just returned from a Canadian ice fishing trip. The fishing was not all that good, but was a good time.

Ice rods are not that tough to build guys. It is the technique for long rods that takes some understanding. Our rod building classes are centered around building technical tools well beyond what you can purchase in the store. If you can make one of these classes you will be more than satisfied, plus gain a addictive hobby.

Merry Christmas to all!!

BigAlSki, of course we could come to the TC area and teach a class. Will need a good spot to hold the class, like a Gander Mountain Lodge room, 6-8 interested people and about 30 days advance notice. I'll furnish everything else to build a spin, casting or fly rod.

My winter schedule is getting filled quickly with the sportshow season just a couple weeks away. So we need to get this planned if there is interest.

Anybody interested?
