alg
I'm getting conflicting information about the Clam thermal hub shelters. I did a search here and found that some said the thermal tent does stop the dripping from the ceiling, and does make the tent warmer. I called a reputable sporting goods place in Duluth and was told the thermal tent would not stop ceiling drip. He said they all drip. He also said any heat gain with thermal was marginal. Anyone have one of these tents that can give me first hand experience?
Northlander
The thermal top will help the drip but wont cure it. The thermal top does give some heat gain. I use reflectex and seem to think it helps retain heat as well. Now a full thermal house would surely help you keep heat in and moisture out. Will it cure it? NO. Whenever your burning propane you will have some moisture.
Gus
The best thing to stop the drip is to keep a vent open. Combat it before it starts. In the bitter cold there isn't much you can do though.
bogwalker
Good old fish house wood stoves. Great heat and no dripping.
