bgreen82
ryan, what does your username mean? cuz what i get out of it is that ur a guide in the metro area. that would be funny if youre asking for hot spots from others. could you clear this up please. anyfishaldo
Just a tip... don't ask for hot spots, honey holes or where to catch lunkers. Better request...New to the site, looking for lakes to try techniques for (species), or, what depth or lure has worked best... Not offended but trying to help you get the most use out of the site. BizzityB
WBL is a great lake! Fish there often! Its a very confusing lake though its clear for a city lake so the bite is different from other surrounding lakes. Make sure you move alot stay mobile. Garvis in Little Canada isnt a bad lake.Going out tonight to check ice thickness around here. I hope the snow didn't mess it all up!
OnAFly
WBL is bass ackwards from most other lakes due to the very high water clarity. Through a large chunk of the winter, the weeds will stay green in large areas, so just finding green weeds isn't always going to give you fish. Try to find variations within the green weeds like weed type and bottom content (rocks within weeds) and you will be rewarded.Oh yeah, stay away from the crowds. One person picks a spot at random, another assumes the first one knows what he's doing and goes next to him and the cycle begins. Before you know it, you have a small city over baron water.BizzityB, post your results if you check WBL, I was considering heading out tomorrow or Sunday. Stay safe out there!
