BDC or Regular Duplex Reticle for 22-250

I know that this will most likely come down to personal preference, but what do you all prefer on your 22-250s. I have settled on a Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14 but cant decide whether or not I want/need the BDC. I was going to sight in for 200. My concern with the regular reticle is if I am trying to shoot something say 350 yards away and looking at about 12 inches of drop, is my POI going to be in the thick part of the lower line? I also understand that the lines/circles on a BDC would not be calibrated for 22-250 and would take some experimentation to figure out.

I have a similar reticle, but it doesnt have the circles, it has the thin lines; and if your eye can pick out each line (some complain about the clutter in the reticle) I would go with the BDC reticle. Like you said, i was debating on the regular reticle too but wanted to be able to shoot further distances; and yes you'll have to experiment with different ranges to see what each line under the zero of your reticle will represent for distances.

i went with the nikon BDC on my new rem 700 .223, i looked through both and kinda liked how small the circles were on them, i heard that they clutter up your image but i didnt think so....cant wait til she warms up so i can play with it a little bit!
