FISHINGURU
What is the law about having brakes on a certain size of wheelhouses these days? I'm on the market for a new one since I sold mine, I've found some decent deals on some older ones but I don't want to buy them if I have to buy and install brakes. Or if I do its a good bargaining tool lol.

hovermn
Trailers rated for 3000 lbs gross weight and above need brakes. I put 6000 lb axles on mine, and I'm running 12" drum brakes rated for 7200 lbs.

JumpStart73
if buying from a private party no need to worry. if you were to trade one in to a dealer and they were to sell it again they would have to upgrade(brakes, lights, ect.) to what the laws are at that time before they sell it.
