Blainebob
Looking to go up this winter with a couple of friends who open water fish but havent ice fished. Just looking for advice on resorts with a better "catch record". I know that no resort can guarantee a catch, but looking for the best odds. I have fished in a rental out of Garrison before and got skunked and fished out of the twin bay area before and did ok,mainly so-so perch and no 'eyes. Thanks! walleye6336
You want to catch walleyes, go farther north...URL or LOTW in my opinion..
DuckBlind
Been going out of Red Door, happy w/ their houses, service and they put us on fish. Plan on heading there again this year...
BrdHunter01
The eyes disapear in the winter.... Doesn't matter how good the summer fishing was, the winter always sucks! Of course I will give it a try again this winter as I do every winter, and with a great summer catch I hoping to land a few.... But my hopes are never very high when venturing to the pond in the winter. WIth that said i wish you good luck if you go, just don't get your hopes to high and just enjoy the time on the ice with friends or family...BTW: I don't think any of the resorts have a very good "catch record" from the last couple years... I think they all will try to put you on fish

walleyeslayr
I would say Red Door or Barnacle's on the north shore. Doesn't seem to get the pressure the rest of the lake receives.
