Any muzzy, zone T, late archers out there?

Recommended Posts

I'm heading to the Eau Claire/Clark county forest tomorrow to do some muzzleloader pushes through the wet, thick jungle. Will either head back over there next weekend for the zone T or might head up north near Spooner. Zero meat in the freezer thus far although I have a bud who did well up near Spooner earlier and has enough veni he's willing to share.

Might do a suburban late season bowhunt if all else fails. Could be the first year in forever I don't get a deer.

We kicked a doe past a stander on the first drive but she was going a zillion mph. Last drive we pushed a nice buck past all three standers - the first only had a shot at the butt, the second had a delay fire on his old muzzleloader, and the third had his bow and it never slowed down enough for a good shot. Great day to be out, went in over my boots trying to cross a creek/swamp cry Built a fire to cook some veni and burgers and at least got the socks dried out. Had a big set of wolf tracks on the road for about 3 miles - guessing a male out checking his turf borders. Next weekend for the zone T might be the last horay for me.

just trying to fill out a couple doe tags during late bow for me, but I already whacked a nice 8 and a doe so lets just say I'm not overly ambitious if its cold out, gonna try a couple more times just for the sake of doing it, good luck in the doe only hunt!

I also posted in the Archery forum but my buds 12 year old got his first bow kill last night and is pumped! They're heading back out tonight to try for another one. He says I can have the next one because they don't need anymore veni! The great white hunter getting deer from a 12 year old!
