Looks like the hard water types will have their turn at the top of the chart for a few months. However, if the time goes as fast as the fall did we will regain our rightful top chart ranking sooner then you think

I'm with ya on the soft water preference. I'm amazed every year though how many enthusiastic ice fisherman there are. 251 viewing right now at 8 am. Pretty good turn out!

I like ice fishing but I LOVE being in the boat .... any boat. Come on spring!

open water will always be > then hard water... its just the way it is... i mean if you like being limited to a 10 inch hole in the ice and fish completely vertical go ahead... i like the freedom of being able to cast to the other side of the boat.

open water fishing is what its all about.. ice fishing is just something to do when your bored in the winter
