Walleye #1
Anyone ever used these? I am getting a used Yukon in a trade, it has a patched hole and thinking of buying a replacement tent for it, and Clam has these advertised for $50. Anyone know anything or have any experience with these? They are supposed to let more light in I guess. Warmth? Durability?Walleye #
Brad B
the best thing to do would be to call clam and ask them any questions you may have. I order a replacement tent for a scout and had the option of getting the light house tent but I went with the standard blue tent. to my knowledge it is the same material as the blue tents but just white instead. I may be wrong so just check with clam directly.
Colt_45
I ordered one a few yrs back for my guide, It was the same material, but different color scheme to let light in for sight fishing is the way they put it. I never used it as I was proactive for the price but sold mine and upgraded before I needed it.Colt
ewirz
Walleye-I bought a light house tent for my voyageur last year when they went on sale. Same situation, had a couple of holes and thought the price was hard to beat. I really like the tent. It's very bright inside. I can see very well into the evening without lights on. It is the same material, just light grey in color. It shows dirt and grime a lot more than the blue tent, if that matters to you. It kind of bugged me a little at first, I didn't want it looking all beat up. I washed it off a few times and am now just a little more careful. One thing I've heard is that they are not good if you do a lot of sight fishing in shallow water. I don't so not a problem. It took about 45 min. to take the old one off and put the new one on. Considering a new blue tent was around $200 (I think) and its almost like getting a new house, its tough to beat for $50.Hope this helps.ERW
