bobcats

Recommended Posts

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, which I have been quite a bit lately, but I don't believe there's an open season on Bobcats in Central MN.

From page 43 of the regs:

Bobcat (open north of I-94 and US 10 only)* Nov. 28–Jan. 3 5 (includes trapping limit) ½ hr. before

Now to answer your question about calls, I've only watched videos of Bobcat hunts and obviously never participated in a hunt. But woodpecker and rabbit distress seemed to really get their attention.

I live by motley and I can hunt them here sorry maybe i live in north central minnesota. Yea I have seen them around my house but its been in the summer. I guess my main question is how do you know if they are around since there is no snow on the ground.

What do you look for in the woods i cant tell the difference between what there scat looks like compaired to coyote of fox.

Should a guy sit in the middle of the woods or will they come out to a field. I know people have said look for water brush piles and old barns and house that people dont live in. Does that sound right to you guys.
