i didn't get a picture of it, but there was another hole on the fish's back only it wasn't as big (it was the entry wound)

It is amazing how far those fish can travel (to spawn & etc)!!

that is true, i cannot be 100 percent sure that it was shot while it was living in trout waters, but the wound did look pretty fresh.

since i caught that fish, i've seen it swimming around multiple times and it has healed pretty well. But it does have one heck of a scar

its possible, but i doubt it for 3 reasons:

1: i used to bowfish and this looks very simmilar to the holes that i would put in my fish (i no longer bowfish, and i regret every fish i shot)

2: i fish the vermillion just about every day, and i have never seen an eagle near this spot

3: also the other hole i was talking about left a classic arrow shaped mark on the fish.

i'm not saying that it wasn't an eagle, but i am sying it was unlikely

i don't mean to soud like a smart@$$, i'm just sayin

I've seen bowhunters walking down to the creek. They stated they were managing carp for the trout benefit. I didn't mind I guess.
