I just bought a 98 Ski-Doo Grand Touring 500 RAVE. It has electric start, rvs and handwarmers. I'm also hoping to wire it up for my H2O.It seems like a nice sled for ice fishing but it needs a new battery and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good cold starting battery.

Happy turkey day bring on the snow!

Well let me know if you are going to get rid of her. I am looking for a fishing sled and may be interested. On another note, there will be a gang of us headed up the trail for a few days of laker action at some point this winter. I can get a hold of you if interested in joining in.

Hey Cory, I'm limited to being a weekend warrior but always up for some fishing. I got the same cell and my house is still on the corner. I have a bunch of boys comming up for opener. Our mutual friend is all signed up for the army and will be leaving sometime after the holidays. As for the sled, the new one is supposed to be my wifes so we're gonna keep the indy for awhile but I'll let you know if I decide to sell it. Bring on the snow and ice,Tightlines!

I was sick of replacing batteries in the wheeler and sleds every year or every other year so I finally dropped a bit of coin on a AGM style battery for both. So far so good! Got mine at Fleet Farm. They have them in sizes for most applications. I've had the wheeler in for 1.5 years and the sled will be 1 year here pretty soon. Probably too early to tell for a longevity test but they do seem to hold their charge quite well compared to cheaper batteries. My wheeler used to basically live on the battery tender during the winter months, now I only need the tender when I feel the urge to plug it in. In my sled, I keep that in a pole barn with no elec and last winter it started the sled every time. This spring after sitting all summer... started it right up!

Good luck.
