merkman
I was out to my favorite lake this weekend and I was amazed at how clear it was. I think this later freeze up is going to be good as long as the wind holds off before the ice sets in.How do your lakes look? Are lakes generally clearer this year? Spearing Machine
I think that has do mainly with the not so windy conditions. I would almost bet that if we had three days of continuous 20+mph winds out of the NW like it should be this time of year it will definitely get murkier. Hopefully it stays calm and we will get a good hard freeze to lock it all up so it stays clear for some good pike pokin this year!
bassNspear
you might be right, less wind makes the lakes less dirty. Need ice now before its getting horrible outside
BOUNCED
This late rain doesn't help anything, run off can dirty up the water faster than wind

Then it could warm up just a bit.For now I will enjoy the smaller heating bills!!!
