lake of the woods map & Oct/Nov fishing report

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a large "wall size" map of low. From the rainy river to north of Kenora. By the way, fishing out of Morson late October thru Nov 8th was outstanding. Walleyes, crappies, perch, bass, musky(44#) my first, & northern. Nobody on the lake except deer hunters and netters. Any help with locating a map would be great. Thanks WFT

I looked locally in northern mn this fall, Roseau to Baudette and nobody had any, everyone relying on gps maps. google maptown, you are looking for canadien navigational maps. they are sectional maps so find the one you are looking for.

did you fish Obabikan in late Oct for crappies? we did on the 24th and did not get anything. did decent there Oct 3rd but not great like i have heard it can be. Walleyes on the 3rd were excellent.

Thanks jkb. I should clarify. I'm not looking for a navigation map, just something to hang on the wall in the cabin. Something in the range of 6'by6' or larger. As for the crappies, none were caught at Obabikon. We had our best luck by Thompson Creek & Hay Island with a few back toward Nester Falls.

I don't know where you will find a map that large. I have a 6201 hanging on the wall at my cabin but it is only about 24"x30". It still looks good framed though.

Ballard's Resort has all of the sectionals blown up and taped together on one of their walls and it is about 8'x8'

We did try Thompson creek in the afternoon but only caught a couple of perch.

They've got various full size maps at Thorne Bros.

The "Ride the Edge" map sounds like the one you are looking for. They are at all the resorts at the Angle. Contact one and have 'em mail you one?

If you are stuck, I can mail you one, I've got them in my store (free)...I could mail you one.
