Lake Rebecca Hunt

My 2 sons and I are hunting the Lake Rebecca shotgun hunt Thanksgiving weekend. I have never done this hunt before. Apparently, you are allowed into the park at a while before daylight. Is this hunt like Ripley where everyone is lining up well in advance? I don't really know what to expect at this hunt.

I stop by and fish there now and then, did you have any luck?

One of my sons saw six does the first morning. He got two shots but missed. I had three come by the second day, but they were all small ones. Some guy brought in an 8 pointer that was still in velvet. The antlers were still soft. Most of the deer taken were fawns. We had to leave late the second morning. Only 8 adult bucks had been taken by that time. There was very little shooting the second morning. I believe 78 guys participated in the hunt.
