Guns classifieds

Im not sure this is apropreite to suggest but ill give a shot out to the administrators anyway. I was told this gun section in the forums is new, and im glad it here because i am a new comer here. It just got me thinking how cool it would be if they added a guns only section to the classifieds, seeing as other sites do not allow firearms transactions. I notice guns in the hso classifieds but there mostly scattered about. anyway i know there cant be a forum for every little thing but its just a suggestion i think many people would love. Thanks

I have sold 3 shotguns and 1 rifle by posting them in the for sale area as a used item and it works great and everything that I have posted has sold including some meat processing equipment. When you pay for the ad in the for sale area you can always go into more specific forums and mention your ad with a link back to the original ad. I found that my deer rifle got a lot more interest when I posted a link in the Deer-Bear-Elk-Moose forum and was sold in a day but had been posted for close to 2 months but I knew when deer season got closer it would sell. The best part is that it is half the price of my local paper and I know that the people that look at the ads are outdoors people.

I think the main classifieds get checked alot less now with the regional and site specific classifieds. Lots of guns on the duck hunting thread. Would like to see them on this one.

I just thought it would be neat to have a place for folks to sell guns in one catogory but hey whatever works. They have a bow-muzzle loader section already, ud think traditional firearms would go over much better.

I would love to see a gun classifieds section on this forum. Why trade in your gun for bottom dollar, you might be able to sell it for a few more dollars and here, and negotiate a better price on the gun your buying.

I would always try to sell it on here before I would even consider trying to trade it in. I brought in a shotgun that I knew would bring in at least $250.00 on the open market for a trade for a $900.00 shotgun along with a new case so my bill would be over $1000.00 plus tax and they offered $150.00 so I kept it and sold it later.

Yeah, they are going to try and make their money too. I always figure if you can get 80% of what they are going for on the shelves, you are doing all right.
