Anyone hunt in the Spring Valley area? How was the hunting over the weekend. Were the deer still moving with the warm temps? How do you feel about the extended first season and it being managed instead of intensive? I hunt second season and I'm gettin the itch

I hunted SW of Chatfield and my uncle was 5 miles west of Spring Valley. It was pretty quiet. I think i heard 3 shots by 9am sunday morning. The deer seemed to be hanging low with the warmth and all the corn standing. I believe you'll be in for a great 2nd season.

i hunted Caledonia area, Poor 4 day hunt! out of 5 people we took 2 does, the farm next to us had 9 people and they took 1 deer. they we sitting tight and not moving at all this past weekend and rut is deffinetly not on as of yet. we did see a few at registration station but not as many as past years
