Fast Snap attach as seen on the In Fisherman Ice Fishing Guide

Hello... I was watching a recent episode of the In Fisherman Ice Fishing Guide television program and saw a tip that looked really great. It involved impaling your minnow head on your hook by first detaching the hook from your spoon, forcing the bait down the shaft of the hook then reattaching the hook to the spoon. This requires the use of some sort of quick snap terminal tackle. Can anyone tell me exactly what this snap is called and where they are sold?

Thanks

If I recall that picture they used a treble hook with a split ring that attached to a No-knot fast snap. This was then "clipped" to the lure. This allowed the minnow head to be impaled from behind the pinched off head up through the mouth of the minnow head. It's a no-knot fast snap.

Seems like a good way to keep your minnow head on a jigging spoon longer.

It's called the Fastach Clip and it's made by String Ease. (note from admin: please read forum policy before posting again)

They work great. It's good to have a mix of both size 0 and size 1 for different sized spoons. They also make a nice modified dropper rig.
