anyone else hunt around here? I think they need to do away with the Management tag. We have 7 guys that hunted this weekend on our 80 acre,s we all sat all day sat and seen 4 deer, 2 of which were bucks and we shot between the 7 of us. There is hardly any sign. is this because of people shooting a deer and then going to town to get another tag and shooting a fawn just for meat? we have seen wolves around lately and are thinkin maybe they are getting the fawns in the spring? idk i just think the DNR calling it a "management area" is bogus there is simply no deer around

Hi Scott. I hunted in zone 2 in the area as I always have for many many years. Saturday was slow for sure. I only seen a Doe in the distance on my way to my stand in the afternoon. "to far away to get a shot off" I didn't hear as many shots as I have in years past on opening day. And Sunday I hardly heard a shot all day.
