Musky Buck
I'm definitely not trying to start a debate about entrapment or whatever but hearing the rifle shots ring out the past few nights especially the lone ones and having found a buck last year with it's rack cut out......Can I request from the DNR to put out a fake buck decoy so some of the poachers in my neighborhood can finally get caught without the loss of another quality buck ? Or was that put to rest because it's just too tempting for some to resist ? I saw one many years ago and many people put rounds into it even with all the no-hunting signs etc. I know who likely is poaching but catching them red handed is another story when most law abidders are in bed. What's the skinny on it and good luck to all law abidders this weekendand have a safe hunt !
Still_Huntin
I know exactly what you mean, looks like some big ones have been taken early again this year!!
joe_stack20
Why not contact the local CO and tell him what is going on and ask if he can patrol the area "when most law abidders are in bed". He may not catch them...but if the "poachers" see a CO vehicle roaming the area that may put a kabosh on the whole thing. Just my 2 cents. Arctic
I heard on the radio this morning that there has been an increase in poaching, as well as "thrill shooting", where a deer is just shot and left to rot.Too bad there's not an open season on poachers...
