I usually stay away during deer season but one of my pals has a couple spots where the corn just came down and he said he's the only one deer hunting out there so I think I'm gonna sneak out tomorrow. Hopefully I'll get a little easy shotting after some tough hunts walking sun up to sundown last week to get a few roosters up.

Pheasant hunting during deer season is awesome! Seriously though, I spent the last four days deer hunting but took a break each day from 10am-1130am to hunt pheasants with the dog. I had all the WMAs and WPAs to myself, not a hunter around. I know certain public areas that aren't hit very hard for deer, and all the pheasant hunters stay home! Lots of fun for a few hours of hunting. If you know where to go it can be a lot of fun...
