Jigging Dawgs??

Am I just plain lazy because my bro and I ended up jigging dawgs just like walleye fishing the other day?

How effective is this when you find pods of bait?

Buddy got bored the other day and stuck his rod with a pounder on it in the rod holder....couple minutes later I look back and the rod tip is starting to bounce. He picks up the rod and sets the hook......50.5"......stupid fish!
