First day out

made a few coyote sets this weekend. first day out for the new guy and the first set we checked. Also caught a large male fisher that was released unharmed. not a easy task.

Haha. Ya she seen it. it was a young one. fur was is very good shape. the kids want me to tan it so i might in light of the fur prices this year

As long as i bring the kids home in one piece and with no bite marks or broken fingers from the traps it's all good with her.

I like it, I like it alot. Great pictures!!! Nothing better than fox trapping. It's been 10 years now since I last set traps. I miss it, and in about 5 years when I pull the pin and retire, my traps will get dusted off and be back at it.

Fur price really don't have much of an impact on me, I will be doing it because I love it.

Hey rooster chaser are you who i think you are?

I hear ya grab the net, you can't trap for the money. I started on our family farm with a friend of mine in 6th grade and have been at it for 20+ years. i still remember trapping our first muskrat in the ditch and being so excited i ran into the water with my hip boots still down but i didn't care i was hooked.
