colored fly line for rattle wheels

2 years ago I put florescent yellow and lime green fly line on my rattle wheel with about 6' of clear mono for a leader. It seems like the amount of walleyes I get has been down and was pondering if this could be the reason. Do you think the walleyes could be seeing this or even care if they do? I normally use black Dacron but the fly line is awesome for not getting tangled.

It's a remote possibility, but not likely with a 6' mono leader. I've been filling rattle wheels and tipups both with Mason black braided teflon coated nylon and 6 ft floro leaders for years now. My catch rate was down last year, too. :-) Bigger factors at work I think.

i use 80lb braided dacron thats white with green specs on my rattle reel with a 6-10' flouro leader. i havent noticed anything that would lead me to believe the fish are spooked by it.

this is easy to see when piled on the floor and really easy to get knots out of.
