Canon 1DMkIV

Recommended Posts

Well, MM, that's a little cryptic without telling us where you're reading it, don't you think? It's a big number, but it represents an increase of three stops over iso 12,800. And how much would be usable at those iso ratings vs how much talk and marketing pizzazz it'll generate, well . . . we'll see.

It's a pretty amazing camera going by the specs. It will be interesting to see how well the new focusing system works on it, this could draw a lot of sports and wildlife shooters.

Earlier today Cnet had some sample shots at ISO 102,400 that were really spectacularly bad, bad enough that Canon asked them to take them down. I suspect they did something wrong, no way would Canon have announced their new flagship could do that with that kind of performance.

You can see a sample [note from admin: Please see forum rules before posting again. Thank you]. I'd expect that the 1d mk IV might be comparable.
