They were always made by someone else but strikemaster marketed them. They had some quality control issues and strikemaster dropped the product. Then a company in Wisconsin tried making them but they too are now out of business. Have a 30,000 btu one myself. Several have been on HSO-Classifieds recently from 15 to 30k btus so you can look there. Hope this helps

Give Strikemaster a call they should be able to give you the contact info of the guy in Wis., that is how i was able to get ahold of him. I had a 15,000 btu in my house and wanted to put the thermostatic control on it. Got ahold of him and he sent me out the control. The reason I heard that SM quit selling the heater was becuase they lost there propane person and then had nobody to take care of them. I love this style heater, always have a small metal coffee can with water sitting on top for a little moisture and thawing the holes when really cold out.
