Door in the V on a wheel house

I prefer having the door on driver side directly behind V. Using V for cuboard, storage space. Door hinges on truck side (front) of house. not sure weather having door in V will be affected by elements.

You should think about what the roads would be like in the winter. The tires on the truck will throw alot of slop right in that part of the house. Would you want to chip ice off to get in the house when you get where you are going???

If you go on a weekend trip with a couple guys and you use the front as a bathroom you definitely want that door up front. If you are going to go back in to town to take a dump than I can see not having it.

I have a tow tector to help with the salt being kicked up. I want to have a bathroom on one side of the v with a door on the inside of the house. On the other side of the v I want the entrance door so I can have more room for holes on the flat wall. If the door on the v gets iced up then I'm not going to put it there, so if anyone has a house with a door in the v can you please tell me about your experince with it. Thanks for all the posts so far!!

We have the same set up you are talking about. The bathroom is in one half of the V and the entrance door is on the other side of the V. (driver's side). The only issue that we have had is with the door knob getting sand and salt on it however we just put a piece of duct tape over it when traveling and no issues. We pull ours up to Red Lake every winter and it always seems to be 60 - 70 below with wind chill when we go and have never had any issues with the door freezing shut. Always opens when we get there with no problems or freezing. We love the door where it is because like you stated it gives us more room for the holes and we have one right when you come into the door where the "other" door would be if we had it on the side. Hope this helps and don't think you should have any problems. Good luck with what you choose.
