On a lake with lots of structure and depth ranges flats points humps canals flats, where do they go this time of year? Was out today trolling a few spots with not even a little one to show for it. The lake also has tullibe in it.

Tough to tell this time of the year. I found them yesterday on a shallow lake in about 7 fow sitting in green weeds. Only thing they would hit were big crankbaits that had to be put right on top of the fish (can tell by the way that they hit that it was a vertical attack). The ones I caught didn't have much fight in them, guessing they were mostly inactive but couldn't resist the big easy meal.

Anyone have thoughts on where to start looking in a big river system like the Mississippi? They seem to have cleared out of my usual summer cold water spots with the drop in water temps. Any patterns to look for in the backwaters or the main lake/channel?
