Anyone ever upgraded their Jiffy Model 30?

I was wondering if anyone ever upgraded their old Jiffy Model 30 to the STX by putting the additional little chipper blades on the auger point.

It can be done, but get an experanced machinest to do it is my recomondation.

The exact positioning of the badger claws is key, or it will wobble like crazy.

The metal is hardened steel too, not easy to drill with average drill bits.

The new Jiffy EZ connect help... Does that help get a normal STX auger on an older model 30 3HP head? I dun know of sure... I hear you on this.. I was looking at getting a reg mdl 30 head and then buying the STX auger to hook up... Was the attachment different or something. I can't remember.. Got the STX 3 years ago.
