SNOW :0 Already?

Since I have an interest in farming I definitely did not want to see snow yet in October.

How much snow did you get and how large of an area did it cover?

Ground was white here in Roseau. Maybe an inch that accumulated. Not good for our entire soybean crop which is still in the field. Snow hanging on beans is not what I wanted to see. Twins game didn't help matters any. High temps only in the mid 30's here thru Wednesday.

We had at least an inch on or a little more on the grass and decks ths morning just north of Little Falls. About 10:00 last night it looked like a blizzard outside. BRING IT ON!!

2-5" forcasted for Sunday night into Monday morning for NW Iowa. Way to early for this.

That sure does not sound like October!! It for sure is way too early for this but this is Iowa... Just stick around for awhile and the weather will be way different in a few hours... lol.

We had probably about an inch in the grass here east of Sioux City. It was melted away by the end of the boys football games at noon. They had fun in the snow. Had a couple of heaters fired up for them.

And no, its not too early. The sooner that I am on the ice the better.

The crazy weather that we have been having makes me wonder what kind of winter we are even going to have? Right now it is very difficult for the farmers to get something harvested. We might have to go straight from harvest into ice fishing.... lol.
