A bit Breezy on the Big Lake

Recommended Posts

We went camping at Gooseberry this weekend hoping for some fall colors and the rain and drizzly made it less than perfect, but early Friday evening we got a few pics of Lake Superior a little frothy. The bigger waves were coming in about 10 to 14 feet. Pictures just don't do them justice.

Wind were gusting close to 50 mph. Hard to even deal with the spray. Spent a lot of time drying off the camera lens.

Sunday we did to see a little color too. We were about a week early this year, but still nice to get out and do some hiking.

terrific shots of the waves! I know how hard it is to capture them,, gotta love a nice breeze!! and the colour shots of the fall leaves,, oh my yes, we're close to being prime for that, I am hoping on my next set of days off I'll find the time to get out for a hike!!

great job!!

Yeah....we like to take a weekend camping trip the North Shore of Lake Superior every year around the beginning of Oct and the colors are usually at their peak or close. We were just a little early this year.

But yes watching the waves crashing in was pretty darn cool grin You just don't get to see them that big that often.
